Unusual but true
Coral looks like rock or a plant, but it is made of tiny animals.
Where it lives
Reef corals live in warm, shallow seas.
What it eats
A coral animal takes in tiny food. Algae living inside also help feed it.
How big
Each animal is tiny. A reef can be bigger than a house.
